The key criteria for holding our Annual Dinner are volunteers to run it and the attendance of around 100 people.
Owing to a shortage of volunteers, the support needed to meet these criteria is currently unavailable.
These were among the issues discussed at our special committee meeting on 2nd December last. Lack of significant progress since then has led us to cancel this year’s Annual Dinner (originally planned for Friday, 27th February 2026).
Our Dinners for the past 10 years have been well attended, most enjoyable and useful from a networking perspective. But a small amount of work from a few volunteers plus evidence of support from "anniversary" years (10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60 years out) are needed to make them happen.
The Dinner could be re-scheduled before the holiday season (say, end May 2026), if a few people put their names forward to make it happen.
So, if you are willing to get involved with re-arranging the Dinner or to help in any other way, please contact us (info@joeysalumni.com). Our policy is to agree on shared workloads so that no individual is overburdened.
We sincerely regret having to make this decision and hope that more people will come forward to help with running events in the future.
