Scholarship Awards - Leaving Cert. Year 2022

Scholarships valued €1,000 per year for 4 years were presented today, 11th October 2022, to 3 of our 2022 Leaving Cert Graduates, Liam Hennessy, Tomás Hennessy and Elonas Jonaitis.

This scholarship scheme, led and managed on behalf of Joeys Alumni by Hall of Fame inductee, Paddy Walsh, has been sponsored by Leaving Cert. Class of 1968.

The presentation in the school was attended by the 3 recipients, their families, school principal, Séan Stack, vice-principal, Alexandra Duane, careers guidance leader, Mairead Martin, 1968 Alumni, Jim Dowling, Paddy Walsh, Kieran McMahon and Kieron Nolan as well as Joeys Alumni president, Dave Rafferty.

The presentation was kicked off by principal, Séan Stack, who explained the background to the awards, followed by, Hall of Fame inductee, Jim Dowling, who presented them to the recipients - with a few well chosen words on dealing with life in 3rd level.

Dave Rafferty welcomed the recipients to Joeys Alumni and provided a brief update on how Joeys Alumni is now concentrating on the networking side of our activities and how networking plays an important and enjoyable role in life after school.
